Porini Lion Camp is located in unique and stunning setting on the banks of the seasonal Ntiakatiak River within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. This large area borders the Maasai Mara National Reserve and is home to an abundance of animals including the Mara’s renowned Big Cats. There is unsurpassed game-viewing within the conservancy due to its unspoiled natural state and the Porini Lion Camp – with just nine tents and one family unit – ensures guests have a genuine “away from it all” experience deep in the African bush.

Activities include day and night game drives, escorted walks and sundowners. Game safari drives are in specially-designed off-road (4×4) safari vehicles with expert qualified safari guides to ensure the best possible game-viewing. Guests particularly enjoy the safari drives within the Conservancy where they experience the African wilderness without being surrounded by other tourist vehicles.

Accommodations

Tent: Ten high-quality, spacious tents are tastefully furnished and each has solar-powered lighting, ensuite facilities (with hot shower and flush toilet) and a private veranda.

Family Tent: The family unit at Porini Lion Camp is an I shaped tent located 20 metres from the main areas. The unit is made of high quality canvas, and is spacious, measuring 144 square metres. It consists of two rooms with a lounge in between. Each of the two rooms has a king size bed and a single bed. The tent is tastefully furnished and has solar-powered lighting, ensuite facilities (with hot shower and flush toilet) and a private veranda. The unit is ideal for families or group of friends traveling together.
